Founded in 1974, Auchroisk means "crossing of the red stream" in Gaelic, referring to the Mulben Burn that the distillery relies on to supply cooling water. However, the main reason for locating the distillery was Dories Well, a rich source of soft pure spring water. In addition to the smoky and nutty sweetness, you can also feel the unique flavor of Dories' silky watery texture, followed by a dry and balanced finish. ​

This is an appetizing single malt whiskey, pleasant and light, initially delivering a sweet, fresh and balanced flavour, before transitioning into a brief finish. The taste has notes of dough and cream. This rich single malt whiskey has aromas of lemon and pineapple, finished with subtle anise and smoky flavors.​

Aroma: Mild, sweet and fresh, with a distinct hint of hazelnut and even a hint of dried marzipan.​

Body: Smooth, light to medium bodied.​

Taste: Light and fresh, with a pleasant mouthfeel. It starts out slightly sweet with some acidity.​

Finish: Dry and balanced finish.
