Talisker ‘Wild Explorer’ is Diageo’s special release for 2023, finished in a combination of white, tawny and ruby ​​port casks before being bottled at 59.7% ABV. Talisker has had a stellar history in Port casks, but this wine still manages to shock people a bit with three different varieties following its initial maturation in first-fill oak casks .

Aroma: Hints of smoke, crumbs, dried fruit, tannic wood and sea salt.

Palate: Dark berries, nutmeg and caramel.

Finish: more smoke and ocean and cinnamon-dusted pastry and jam.
