Located on the north coast of Islay, the 190-year-old Laphroaig Distillery has been exposed to the strongest sea breeze on the island and the traditional steaming and brewing process has not changed since the establishment of the factory, creating the most original ale. Islay style whiskey is therefore universally recognized as the most representative Islay whiskey distillery.

Laphroaig Distillery is the first whiskey distillery in Scotland to be independently run by a woman. After the death of the distillery owner Ian Hunter in 1954, his wife Bessie took over the Laphroaig Distillery and continued the tradition of making wine until her retirement in 1972. The current distillery The traditional floor malting work is still continued, 1/4 of the malt is made in-house, and 3/4 of the malt is Poet Ellen malt.

The water source of the winery is taken from Kilbride Dam, which flows through the thick peat layer and passes through the quartzite layer, producing soft water rich in peat flavor, making the wine produced delicate and diverse in flavor.

Aroma: Roasted coffee beans and almond pastries, with a hint of peat

Taste: As the peat aroma blooms, the biscuit aroma of fragrant pine follows.
