Octomore 13.1 is just as youthful and vibrant as its peat-rich predecessor. Patiently distilled from 100% Scottish Continental barley harvested in 2015, this single malt whiskey has a malt strength of 137.3 PPM and matured in the highest quality American oak casks.

All Octomore .1 versions are distilled from 100% Scottish barley. They are primarily aged only in ex-American oak barrels, with varying proportions of ex-Bourbon or ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels.

A mainstay of every new range, Octomore's .1 releases showcase the original character of the clean Octomore spirit, balanced with modest pre-American whiskey influences - and provide a necessary comparison from which other expressions alternate.

After five years of aging in first-fill American oak barrels, our master distiller made a unique twist on this 13.1, collecting and re-barrelting the spirit into fresher first-fill American oak in 2021 In oak barrels.

The final infusion of flavor comes from the interplay between the spirit and oak, providing additional notes of dark toffee, coconut and vanilla.

This single malt whiskey is testament to the faith our Master Distiller, Adam Hannett, has in the quality of his ingredients.
