Tasting Notes

Characteristics – Ocean freshness, Islay air and deep-rooted fruitiness from distillation characterize this release.

Nose - Peat smoke, dry and slightly medicinal, with drops of lemon and thyme coming through, then hints of the sea, shells, and some vanilla and fudge from the oak.

Taste – salt on the lips, more honey and lemon on the palate, then peat sweeps in with oak and high intensity heat. Deeper flavors from spirit, pear and currant are more defined and rich.

Finish - initially sweet with notes of pastry and chocolate, but ending with rubbery smoke and bitter notes of spice.

Color - light straw.
