2010: The nature of the challenge
In 2010, the winter was harsh and the spring was dry and slow. After a particularly sunny decade, the freshness is surprising. It's hot in the summer, but not too hot. Then, two days of torrential rain halted this ideal trajectory. Within a few days, gray mold appeared on the grapes, mainly Pinot Noir.

This sets off a race against time. The grapes are not yet fully ripe but a decision must be made soon. Dom Pérignon mobilized all his resources to create a precise map that defined the maturity and health of each plot in the vineyard. Every minute counts.

This expert insight into the situation made it possible to save prime Pinot Noir vineyards. Challenge solved, Dom Pérignon declares this vintage to be completely "saved from water": Dom Pérignon 2010 Vintage, the result of intuition and mastery.

The bright sweetness of tropical fruits – green mango, melon, pineapple – shines through immediately. Then it moves to milder notes, the tingle of orange peel, the haze of citrus. The wine breathes and reveals its freshness. Flowers bloom after the rain. Touches of peony, jasmine and lilac.

In terms of taste
The wine immediately reveals its rich presence, full and thick. A juicy feeling dominates as the touch is quickly replaced by aroma. Physical expansion: generosity, firmness, restraint. It then contracts, allowing the wine to vibrate with spices and pepper. The energy continues into a sparkling, salty finish.
